Head to these spots for the best brunch in Myrtle Beach
Brunch is a beautiful thing! I don’t get hungry first thing in the morning, but by 10am I am ready for a hearty meal! And since I’m now a full-time resident of the Grand Strand, I’m in the perfect position to let you know where you can find the best brunch in Myrtle Beach!
I’m a fan of breakfast food. My husband, not so much. So it’s always great when we can go to brunch. I can get eggs benedict or French toast, and he can get a sandwich or burger. Win win!
We live in Myrtle Beach, just north of Surfside Beach, and also close to Murrells Inlet. All three of these towns have great brunch options, so I’ll share our favorite places all along the Grand Strand.
Where to find the best brunch in Myrtle Beach
Myrtle Beach has so many incredible restaurants, and we have an extensive list to try! As we make it to more places, I’ll update this post with any amazing brunch spots we find. For now, here are some great choices.
Millstone Biscuit Company
You’ll find Millstone Biscuit Company in Murrells Inlet — a delightful little café serving up the best biscuits in town. Daniel ordered the Biscuit on the Bayou: crawfish & andouille sausage gravy over a biscuit. He said it was fantastic and his clear plate backed up his claim!
I had the open faced Chicken Biscuit with gravy, which was listed on their specials board. Both a customer on his way out and the lady taking our order enthusiastically told me I wouldn’t regret the choice, and they were right!
My only regret was that I couldn’t eat more than about a third of this goodness before filling up!
Eggs Up Grill
A staple in coastal South Carolina, Eggs Up Grill offers breakfast classics, burgers, sandwiches, and more.
Their Big City Brunch menu includes southern style breakfast bowls like their Shrimp and Grits Bowl and Loaded Homefry Bowl, and they have an interesting selection of benedicts, including their Coastal Crab Cakes Benedict, Hash Benedict, and Philly Cheese Steak Benedict.
We haven’t been here yet, but it’s on the list and we plan to visit and report back very soon!
Johnny D’s Waffles and Benedicts
Johnny D’s is a well-known local chain with three locations to choose from in North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, and Surfside Beach. Here you’ll find the titular waffles and benedicts, of course, but so much more!
Reminiscent of a New York diner, Johnny D’s extensive menu offers just about anything you could imagine. On our visit, Daniel got the Brisket Skillet, and I got a Build-Your-Own Grilled Cheese with avocado and a fried egg, with a Sunrise Mimosa. Everything was super tasty!
We also had to try their famous Pancake Shots, which comes garnished with a piece of bacon!
Crepe Creation Café
I love a savory crepe for brunch, so my next recommendation if you’re looking for a good brunch spot in Myrtle Beach is the Crepe Creation Café at The Market Common.
After spending time in France, we know the value (and tastiness) of a true French bakery. Here you’ll find baguettes, pastries, crepes, and croissants, along with creative takes on the usual brunch fare. Try the French Toast Croissants if you’re in the mood for something sweet!
On my visit, I tried their Gyro Crepe Chicken and it was the perfect blend of French and Greek cuisine. I plan to return soon to try more of their menu!
Tupelo Honey
Also at The Market Common, you can enjoy southern comfort food at Tupelo Honey Southern Kitchen & Bar. This is one of my favorite spots for any meal!
They offer a special brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays which includes several interesting versions of chicken and waffles, including Mac-n-Cheese Waffles with Asheville Hot Fried Chicken, as well as Fried Green Tomatoes, salads, sandwiches, benedicts, and more.
I greatly enjoyed my all i “avo” wanted benedict, and Daniel devoured his cast iron pork and yummy sides!
Mammy’s Kitchen
Next on our list, we’re leaving the South Strand and heading into the heart of Myrtle Beach. Just a short stroll from the boardwalk and the SkyWheel, you’ll find Mammy’s Kitchen. One word: buffet!
Yep, Mammy’s Kitchen is the place to be in Myrtle Beach for an amazing breakfast and brunch buffet. We haven’t made it here yet ourselves, but the Google reviews are overflowing with fantastic reports of stellar food, prices, and service.
One reviewer said Mammy’s is the reason they keep coming to Myrtle Beach! I’m convinced, so we’ll have to take the whole family here soon!
Harry’s Breakfast Pancakes
When my parents come to visit, we always have to eat at Harry’s Breakfast Pancakes. I’m pretty sure we chose the place originally because I have a son named Harry, but we loved it so we kept going!
When the owners heard we had a little Harry of our own, they gifted him with this awesome t-shirt from their cute little gift shop at the front of the restaurant. Everyone who works at Harry’s is so sweet — and they are especially great with the kids.
As you might expect from their name, pancakes are the thing to order here! Our kids love the chocolate chip, strawberry, and blueberry versions. Bring the wet wipes!
Blueberry’s Grill
You can enjoy brunch at either of the two Blueberry’s Grill locations in SC — one in Myrtle Beach and one in North Myrtle Beach. They also have a third location in Wilmington, NC.
Can you even eat here and not order something with blueberries? I’m sure you could, but you probably shouldn’t. I, for one, will be trying the Blueberry Ricotta Waffle.
Their menu offers a wide selection of dishes, including omelets, benedicts, skillets, and sandwiches, among other choices.
Don’t leave without trying their original recipe Blueberry Hushpuppies, served warm with honey butter and blueberry compote!
Croissants Bistro & Bakery
For another taste of France, head to Croissants Bistro & Bakery and pick out some pastries. If you’re hungry for brunch, you won’t be disappointed! You’ll find everything from their Sunrise Pizza, to Avocado Toast, to Chicken & Waffles. I’ve also heard great things about their Bananas Foster French Toast.
Their lunch menu includes a number of mouthwatering sandwiches, including their Turkey Pretzel Club, Ham Apple Brie Melt, and Monte Cristo, a personal favorite.
No matter where you are on the Grand Strand, you’ll find plenty of delicious brunch spots to choose from. Great food is essential to a great vacation, and you’re sure to have a great time in Myrtle Beach!
