We went “papas locas” at Encantto Bar & Grill
When it comes to our Myrtle Beach Bucket List, trying all the best local food spots is definitely a top priority! Our latest discovery is Encantto Bar & Grill, a Colombian-owned restaurant with some of the tastiest Latin food in the area. This hidden gem quickly became a family favorite, and I’m excited to share why you should check it out too!
Daniel and I had a fun date night here, and the food was so good we just had to come back with all four kids! Lucky for us, Encantto is right down the road from us — about a 5 minute drive.
If you’re looking for a taste of Colombia here in Myrtle Beach, look no further. The atmosphere is lively, the people are super friendly, and the music had Melody dancing in her seat!
The food was fantastic. First, we devoured some empanadas — we’ve had both the chicken and the beef now, and both are delicioso. They come with a really yummy sauce for dipping.
Then, we tackled the Papas Locas. These “crazy fries” are piled high with meat, cheese, and plenty of sauce! We ordered two big plates for the table, and we ate every bite.
Encantto’s online reviews rave about the hot dogs and burgers, so I guess we’ll have to be back again soon to give those a try (oh darn!). They offer a kids menu for the little ones, as well as some pretty fantastic cocktails and margaritas for the adults!
We had such a great time at Encantto Bar & Grill, and whether you’re a local or just visiting Myrtle Beach, you should definitely add this spot to your must-try list! The combination of authentic Colombian flavors, welcoming atmosphere, and lively music makes it a fun dining experience for everyone.
